How do I set my portable monitor to “180°” mode?
How do I enable “180° mode” or screen mirroring on my AURA monitor?
If you’re sitting across from a colleague, client, or friend and want to show them exactly what’s on your laptop screen, 180° Mode (also called mirroring mode) is the ideal setup. Instead of turning your laptop around, this feature allows you to duplicate your screen onto one of your AURA monitors — so the person sitting in front of you sees exactly what you do.
What is 180° Mode?
180° Mode mirrors your laptop’s main screen onto an external AURA monitor. It’s perfect for face-to-face discussions, collaborative work, or presentations — especially when using our dual or triple screen models, where one monitor can be rotated 180° to face your guest.
🧭 How to activate screen mirroring
🖥️ On macOS
- Go to System Settings > Displays.
- Click Display Settings to view all connected screens.
- Hold the Option key and drag one display over the other to mirror them.
- Or select the screen and enable “Mirror for Display”.
- The AURA screen will now show the exact same content as your laptop.
🖥️ On Windows
- Right-click anywhere on your desktop and choose Display settings.
- Scroll to Multiple displays.
- Select “Duplicate these displays” from the dropdown.
- Choose which displays you want to mirror (e.g., your main laptop screen and an AURA screen).
- Click Apply.
🖥️ On Ubuntu (Linux)
- Open Settings > Displays.
- Select the monitor you’d like to mirror.
- Toggle on “Mirror displays”.
- Click Apply.
📱 On Android (USB-C compatible phones)
- Connect your phone to your AURA monitor via USB-C.
- Select “File Transfer” or “External Display” if prompted.
- Your phone will automatically mirror its screen to the AURA monitor.
- For Samsung devices, Samsung DeX may launch for a desktop experience.
💡 Tip:
Using a triple-screen AURA monitor? You can mirror just one of the screens for 180° mode and keep the others extended for your own multitasking.
